About us – Cheltenham Housing Aid Centre

Our team of advisers consists of three part time paid staff who have over 60 years experience between them of advising and advocating for people in housing need at CHAC. They are supported by volunteers and overseen by a hands on Board of Trustees.

The advice workers at CHAC run the organisation as a flat management structure and as such all staff are involved in the delivery of front-line services as well as being managers of the organisation.

I went to CHAC with no expectations. I now feel my whole life has changed. Everything is better for me now.

The staff were such a support to me as I needed to attend a tribunal. They gave me the support I needed throughout the court case. Each time I met with them they listened, were empathic and understanding of the “whole” picture of the situation. Although we never had to face homelessness, its reassuring to know there is such a supportive team out there – thank you, thank you, thank you.

I was extremely happy with the support I have received, the worker who helped me was amazing. She did a wonderful job, which gave me a great deal of confidence to deal with the situation. I cannot thank the staff enough.
